Mnuchin Gallery is pleased to present John Chamberlain's monumental sculpture BALMYWISECRACK as part of Art Basel Paris's prestigious public programming of outdoor sculpture.
Located on Avenue Winston Churchill between the Grand and Petite Palais, BALMYWISECRACK is on view from October 15 – 20, 2024. For over six decades, Chamberlain's fearless exploration of form, color, and material pushed the boundaries of art. The Foils are the first and only works from his distinguished career that are intended to be displayed outdoors. Examples from this late, seminal series have previously been shown at the Guggenheim Museum, New York; the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh; and on the grounds of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
